Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Rulehop Shopify App ("the App") on your Shopify shop, you ("merchant") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install the App.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on the Shopify shop(s) on which you install it, in accordance with your subscription tier.

3. Subscription and billing

Subscription fees are billed by Shopify on our behalf via Shopify Managed App Pricing. Refunds and trial periods follow Shopify's standard policies. By subscribing you authorize Shopify to charge your payment method.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell or redistribute the App without our written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the compiled Shopify Functions delivered by the App.
• Use the App to violate Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
• Abuse or overwhelm our infrastructure (rate limits apply).

5. Discount-rule output

The App generates Shopify Functions from rules you author. You are responsible for reviewing each rule's behavior in the in-app simulator before deploying it to your live checkout. We provide a 10-of-10 simulator-vs-real-checkout parity matrix as a quality gate, but no software is bug-free. Test before deploy.

6. Service availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the App admin UI. Shopify Functions, once deployed, run inside Shopify's checkout and are not affected by our backend availability.

7. Data and privacy

Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

You may uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Upon uninstall, shop data is deleted within 48 hours per the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the App admin UI and via email to the merchant's account-owner address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the merchant's jurisdiction to the extent required by mandatory consumer-protection law; otherwise by the laws of India, where Rulehop is operated.
